Hi! I’m Janet. I’m a Columbia University trained neuroscientist with an advanced degree in Chinese medicine. I pursued a career in acupuncture and herbal medicine because I wanted to work within a system that understands mind, body, and spirit to be interconnected, a system in which all symptoms, emotional states, and life circumstances are trusted and treated simultaneously.
I earned my masters degree in traditional Chinese medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco. During my training I provided over 500 hours of clinical care, including providing treatments at the ACTCM Auricular Acupuncture Clinic and the CIIS Center for Somatic Psychotherapy. I have continued my training in women’s health with Dr. Robert Johns and in pediatrics with Raven Lang. From 2017-2020 I studied weekly under Bob Levine focused on Chinese and Tibetan pulse diagnosis.
I have a passion for spending time with children and I’m incredibly lucky to have 2 thriving kiddos and outstanding husband to share life with. In our free time we enjoy everything outdoors (gardening, hiking, beach time), dance parties in the living room, cooking, and reading.
